04. Who under Heaven was the first one expounding the truth of the Myriad Things?

Fu Xi, the progenitor of human beings, was the first sage who expounded the Absolute Void, revealed the origin of the Heaven and Earth and human beings.

During the primitive time of human, people were born naked between the Heaven and the Earth, with no religion and literal notations, and no scripture. It was under this primitive condition that Fu Xi, through his own mind, looked up the Heaven, looked down the Earth, brought forth the enlightenment of the origin of the Heaven and Earth and the Myriad Things. Not having literal notations, he created the symbol “O” to stand for the Absolute Void, and the state of Ultimate Nothingness (Wu Chi)—the origin of the Myriad Things, so that people can understand the origin of the Heaven and Earth and root of life. This is called “initiate the Heave with one stroke”. This “O” became the light tower for people to know the origin of Myriad Things.

This “O” is also called “Ultimate Nothingness”(Wu Chi) in Eight Trigrams (ba gua), i.e. the root of the Supreme Ultimate (T’ai Chi) and postulate of I Ching. Those who are studying I Ching always do not understand the theory of the Ultimate Nothingness, but pay attention to only its forecasting functionality of Yin-Yang. They therefore cannot arrive at the root of the Heaven and Earth and that of life, which is the original and fundamental objective of the book I Ching.
