10. What is the kernel of Chinese culture?

The kernel of Chinese culture is the culture of spirit.

Chinese people are proud of the descendents of the Yan and Yellow Emperors. However, do contemporary Chinese people inherit the essence of the Tao and its Attributes of the Yan and Yellow Emperors? How many people know why the Yan and Yellow Emperors are so great?

It is Chinese people’s pride that Sages such as Fu Xi, the Yan Emperor, the Yellow Emperor, Lao-Tzu, K'ung Fu-tzu(Confucius) were born in China. However, they are also the pride of world’s people. Their minds are great. Their achievements are great. But their greatness does not equal to that of contemporary Chinese people. They cannot be called descendents of sages, until they inherit what these sages had talked about the truth and essence of the Tao and its Attributes, and hence making great contributions to the world’s peace and progress.
