17. Can new political parties radically solve problems of people’s society?

That depends on whether they have true cultivation and theory of truth. Otherwise any new political power will evolve to a new wickedness, bringing new disasters to people.

The fact that folk religions are emerging continuously proves that people see in different ways about life and the universe. This is not only a religious crisis, but also a demonstration of spiritual uncertainties and mental turbulences. The fact that all kinds of political parties are emerging continuously proves that people think in different ways. This is the omen that contradictions in the world will intensify and disasters will occur.

Those who clique for reasons that their individual benefits were harmed will often apostatize or break promises, even going to extreme and wickedness. People’s conduct cannot be restricted by merely promises and disciplines. The true power that determines conduct lies in human’s nature. Those kinds of people are unreliable. I don’t trust them. And moreover, I don’t expect them to contribute themselves to the human society.

Those political persons, if really wish to contribute themselves to human society and get true achievement, must firstly accept theory of truth, follow the way that K'ung Fu-tzu (Confucius) had pointed out, cultivate oneself and get rid of one’s desire, enlighten the mind and Attributes (of the Tao). Only by doing this way can they be called “building a family, ruling the country and making the under-Heaven harmonious.”

The current world does not run short of careerists and schemers, but short of sages who is “not pleased by external gains, not saddened by person pains (losses). Be the first to worry about troubles under Heaven and the last to enjoy himself”, and who possess genuine cultivation and enlightenment.
